Waiver of Liability: I recognize the inherent dangers and risks associated with the construction of a house. I
understand that I should not participate in the construction unless I am medically able, both physically and mentally. I
attest that I am able and equipped to participate as a volunteer in building of homes selected by Habitat for Humanity
Abilene, Inc. (HFHA) and I am properly attired in thick rubber soled shoes. I am also capable to engage in any other
activities of the affiliate, including but not limited to ReStore functions and pickup of donated items. I knowingly agree
to assume all risks associated with my participation in the construction of homes, The ReStore functions, and other
activities of the affiliate, whether they are known or unknown to me. I further understand and accept that HFHA and
Habitat for Humanity Inc., do not assume the responsibility for acts and omissions of volunteer participants.
Photographic Release: Volunteer does hereby grant and convey unto Habitat for Humanity Abilene, Inc. all rights,
title, and interest in any and all photographic images, video and/or audio recordings made by AHFH during
volunteer’s activities at HFHA, including but not limited to, any royalties, proceeds or other benefits derived from
such photographs or recordings.
Age Limitations: It is the policy of HFHA that children under the age of 16 not be allowed on a worksite while there is
construction in progress. It is further the policy of AHFH that ultra hazardous activities, such as using power tools,
excavation, demolition, or working on rooftops is prohibited for anyone under the age of 18.
Having read this waiver for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, I waive and release Habitat for
Humanity Abilene, Inc., as well as its staff members and the Board of Directors, their representatives and
successors, from all claims and liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in the functions and
activities of Habitat for Humanity Abilene, Inc.
